Aren’t rainy days one of the lovely things to observe and see! During a rainy day, we all seek out to experience the rainbows and a rainy day is always a lovely experience to have. Isn’t it? A rainy day is a lovely day and a rainbow makes it even more better.
The thing about rainbows is that they can be seen in the sky only after the rainy day. This happens when the rays of the sun bounce off from the drops that remain in the atmosphere after the rain. This is completely science and this is what makes rainbows look so beautiful and pretty. As soon as it happens, the colours split out into the different colours of the rainbow.
But how does the idea of holding the colours of the rainbow in the jar sounds? Isn’t it spectacular? The whole thing is and for the entire experiment, the two things that are compulsory includes a glass or water or some transparent substance.
The Question is, how can you use all of this to make a rainbow in a petty jar?

- Dishwashing Liquid – ½ cup
- Olive Oil – ½ cup
- Rubbing Alcohol – ½ cup
- Light Corn Syrup – ½ cup
- Different Food Colouring
- 5 Bowls for Mixing
- Measuring Cup
Procedure
Result
After the experiment is done, you can find a beautiful layered rainbow in a jar by seeing the distinct lines in the liquid jar.
